Samsung recently has released a new slew of tablets called the Pro line at CES(Consumer Electronics Show 2014. We have a new Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, and three new Galaxy Tab Pros with varying screen inches. All of these tablets have the same great specs. Let's start off with the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. As the name suggests, the Note Pro 12.2 comes with a massive, laptop size 12.2 inch screen. While the screen size might blow you away, some of the great benefits are that it offers a full sized laptop keyboard, great multitasking power and screen space, and incredibly good gaming. The screen resolution has a 2560 by 1600 WQXGA Super Clear LCD display with a pixel density of 248 which is pretty good for a high-end tablet. You can really enjoy gaming on a tablet like this. For the WI-Fi only version, the processor is Samsung's 2.3 GHz Exynos 5 Octa processor. This is a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor combined with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor so make a 2.3 GHz octa-core processor. The LTE version comes with a Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHz quad-core processor. There will be 3 GB of RAM on this monster. The build material is Samsung's faux leather (fake molded plastic) or , as some people like to call it, pleather. There is a 8 MP rear facing camera on the back with a 2 MP front facing camera for video conferencing. The frame rate is at 30 frames per second at 1080p. The camera is pretty good and you should be able to get some really nice photos and videos. The price will be at a wallet-unfriendly $749 (US dollars) which is pricey but it's worth it since you get all the top, high-end specs with a basic 32 GB of on board storage. You also get the S-Pen stylus with all of the S-Pen functions. There will be 32 GB of on board storage and you can expand storage will up two 64 GB Micro SD cards. There are also 64 and 128 GB storage options. The battery life is good as this tablet will come with a massive 9,500 mAh battery. And the best part about this big beast is that its just 7.95 mm thick.
For the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, all the specs will be the same except for the pricing which will be at $649 which is still a lot but it make sense because of all the great, high-end specs and a basic 32 GB of on board storage. There are also 64 and 128 GB storage options. This device will sport a 9,500 mAh beast of a battery. This tablet is just 7.95 mm thick.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has the same exact specs but its has 16 GB of basic storage which isn't bad since you can always expand the storage with up to 64 GB Micro SD cards. There are also 32, 64, and 128 GB storage options. The pricing for the Tab Pro 10.1 will start at $499 and again, its worth it. It also comes with 2 GB of RAM with is 1 GB less than its two huge 12.2 inch brothers. It also has a higher pixel density of 299. The Tab Pro 10.1 will have a huge 8,220 mAh battery. This tablet will have a crazy thin 7.3 mm thickness.
And last but not least, we have the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, our little toddler caught in between its three older brothers. It has 16 GB of basic storage and there are 32, 64, and 128 GB options out there. This tablet will come with 2 GB of RAM and a higher pixel density of 359 which is the highest among its three brothers. It runs on a Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHz processor for both the Wi-Fi only version and LTE version. This tablet will sport a good sized 4,800 mAh battery. And last but not least, (drum role please), this tablet is only 7.2 mm thick which is razor thin and the thinnest tablet I have ever heard of. It's even thinner than the iPad Air.The pricing will be at $399 which is actually not bad considering all the great, mind boggling specs Samsung has stuffed in into this razor thin 7.2 mm slate of happiness. Personally, I think this tablet has more added value because take a look, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has all the great specs that the other three tablets have, its super thin, has a reasonable price, a great battery for its size, and is easy to carry in one hand.
All four of these tablets will be very light running Android 4.4 Kit-Kat and have Samsung's new Magazine UX. The new Magazine UX gives you a much more orderly tablet experience by placing all your favorite content, apps, and widgets into tile sections kind of like what Windows 8 has. These tablets should be available in the US by early March. The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and Tab Pro 12.2 will have over $700 of bundled premium services such as Bloomberg + and Blurb. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has already hit the UK. These new tablets will give Apple and other rivals some serious competition. So with all of that, we can finally come to a conclusion that with these tablets, you should be PROactive, PROductive, and PROficient and that these four tablets really live up to their name.
