Well, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is finally here which debuted at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain last week. Lets start off with the color choices. Samsung has now expanded its color choice for its smartphones now as you can choose from any of the four colors which are: electric blue, shimmer white, charcoal black, and copper gold. On the back of the phone, we have a 16 MP ISOCELL camera with an LED flash and a heart rate sensor underneath it. The button layout on the Galaxy S5 is the same as its predecessor. There is also a 2 MP front facing camera for selfies and video conferencing. The fingerprint scanner home button is flanked by the back button and a recent apps button instead of the classic menu button found on all 2013 Samsung phones and tablets. The back cover of the GS5 has a perforated soft touch plastic material which is much better than that glossy, finger-print magnet plastic back found on the Galaxy S4. For the specs, it isn't what we really expected based on the rumors. First off, the screen is the same 5.1 inch screen instead of the 5.25 rumors stated and a display of 1920 by 1080p Super Amoled display with a 432 pixel density. We were really excited about the 2K display that everybody thought was going to make it one the GS5 but instead, we got the usual. But the GS5 still has a great color reproduction and the colors really pop out and are vivid. The GS5 has a much improved user interface than the GS4's TouchWiz but people claim its only a small improvement. All the icons take on a circle shape. The GS5 sports a Snapdragon 801 chipset, a quad-core Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, an Adreno 330 graphics processor, and 2 GB of RAM which makes this phone at the top of its game. For the camera, this 16 MP camera has an ISOCELL sensor and a blazing fast 0.3 second image capture and a new Phase Detection auto focusing feature which is usually found in DSLR cameras an. The GS5 still doesn't have Optical Image Stabilization but that shouldn't a big issue with this camera. The GS5 also has a slightly larger 2,800 MAh battery from the 2,600 MAh battey found on the Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S5 is also Ingress Protection certified with a rating of 67 which means the GS5 is water and dust resistant so you can take the GS5 to the beach, the pool, don't have to worry about spilled coffee on the GS5, and more. But you can only take the GS5 into water depths of a little over 1 meter for 30 minutes. The Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and Gear Fit also launched alongside the Galaxy S5 at the mobile world congress.
